Allen Reflects on Meaning of Presidential Visit

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) What do presidents Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Dwight Eisenhower have in common? They all made stops in Garden City prior to Tuesday’s visit by former President George W. Bush. Now that the event is over City Manager Matt Allen has time to reflect on its meaning.

Unlike the others this time Bush was more than merely passing through.

Allen was able to present former president Bush with the key to the city during the private event at the Clarion Inn.
