Allen Aware Milk Plant Ground Breaking is Beginning of Process

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) It will take a little more than 18 months to build, but there’s a level of excitement already for the new Meadowlark Milk to Liquid Processing Plant in Garden City. A ground breaking is planned for Thursday afternoon at 1:30 on the site near the Jameson Energy Center at the US 83 by-pass. Thursday’s celebration is about reaching another step according to City Manager Matt Allen.

When completed in May 2017 the plant will employ 60 and cost about 235 million dollars.
