Alfonso had lived in Garden City since 1989. He was a custodian for most his life, working at United Methodist Mexican-American Ministries and eventually owning his own janitorial service. He enjoyed watching Spanish language television news and spending time with his grandkids. 

He is preceded in death by his mother-Candida Perez and numerous brothers and sisters.
