Albert M. Lorkovic

Albert M. Lorkovic, 86, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. He was born January 31st, 1930, in Omaha, Neb. to Joseph and Mary (Bosiljevac) Lorkovic.
In 1950 he married Jeannette Smola in Omaha, Nebraska. As a young man, Albert began his career in the cattle industry with Wilson. In 1976 he moved his family to Garden City and later became a cattle buyer for IBP, until retiring in 2000. A loving father and grandfather, AL enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and sharing his deep love for the Lord with each and every one of them.  
Survivors include three children, Donna Clark & Donald Lorkovic both of Garden City and Laura Howie of Pleasant Hill, MO; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a companion Esther Gigot of Garden City; a brother Bernie Lorkovic and sister Rosie Marchisio both of Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Jeannette; a son Albert J. Lorkovic; a daughter Diane Beymer; two brothers Joe & John Lorkovic; and a sister Pat Pluer.
A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 14 also at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Fr. Reginald A. Urban as Presider. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
