AG Schmidt Calls For Steamlining Amber Alert in KS

Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) In a thorough review of the Kansas Amber Alert system after a recent abduction resulted in a malfunction, State Attorney General Derek Schmidt issued these recommendations.

Schmidt believes the Kansas Bureau of Investigation improve efforts to educate and train local law enforcement in using Amber Alert and shorten procedures that delay response time to an initial abduction.
