Senate Ag Committee Holds Hearing on Farm Bill in Kansas

Manhattan, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Thursday marks the beginning of the process towards hammering out a new farm bill. Kansas Senator Pat Roberts will preside over the hearing in the Senate Agricultural Committee.

Times are tough for farmers and after all the haggling over the last farm bill, Roberts realizes the need for a strong piece of legislation is urgent.

Ranking member Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan and other committee members will be there as well to hear the testimony given.
