Accident in Finney Co. Injures Seven

Finney County, KS (westernkansasnews.com) An accident in Finney County Sunday afternoon sent seven people to the hospital with injuries.

The two vehicle accident occurred on K156 3.8 or 0.2 miles West of Farmland Road. Vehicle one was traveling Westbound, vehicle two was Eastbound. Vehicle one went left of center and hit vehicle two. Vehicle one came to rest in the Eastbound lane facing North. Vehicle two rolled once and stopped facing North in the South Ditch on the passenger side.

Vehicle one was driven by 57 year old Michael Murphy of Dumas, Texas. He was taken to St. Catherine’s with injuries. Vehicle two was driven by  20 year old Heinrich Neufeld of Rolla. All six occupants of vehicle two, one 17 year old and five young adults were taken to St. Catherine’s with injuries. The other four occupants taken to the hospital were Ana Friesen, 28, of Satanta, Cornelius Wiebe, 21, of Moscow, Johnny Wiebe, 19, of Hugoton and Jessice Luepqui, 20, of Montezuma.

Three of the six occupants in vehicle two were not wearing seat belts.
