Lady Beaver tennis wins Pratt Invite, 3rd in Phillipsburg

Scott City, Kan. (weesternkansasnews.com)–It’s been a busy few days for the Scott City girls tennis team, as the varsity has hit the midway point of the regular season.

On Saturday, they made the venture to Pratt for the Pratt Invitational, where they faired well. Scott City would win the meet in Pratt, getting a first place finish from Ella Frank/Marisa Alvarado at No. 1 Doubles. Placing third was Kaylee Felker at No. 1 Singles, and Finley Edwards at No. 2 Singles, while finishing in fourth place was the No. 2 Doubles team of Taylor Koehn/Shelby Massaglia.

Tuesday saw the Lady Beaver tennis squad head to Phillipsburg, where they finished third. Placing second at No. 1 Doubles was Kaylee Felker/Finley Edwards, and the No. 2 Doubles team of Ella Frank and Marisa Alvarado. At No. 1 Singles, Taylor Koehn was fourth, and Brilyn Lopez was fourth at No. 2 Singles.

Up next is the Scott City Invitational on Monday, September 23 at 9 am.
