Garden City Fire Department gives update on home explosion
Garden City, Kan.–The cause of explosion of a Garden City home Saturday evening has been determined by Fire Marshal Gene Robertson.
As the investigation continues, the State Fire Marshal and Garden City Fire Department Fire Investigators have determined that the explosion was caused by a natural gas leak, which was ignited when the victim turned on the stove. The issue was isolated to the gas line inside the home.
This investigation is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
