Scott City golf 3rd at Hugoton regional, Eagles qualify two for state

Hugoton, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City golf team finished third on Monday, at the Class 4A Regional meet, held at Forewinds Golf Course. 

McPherson took the regional title with a team score of 340, seven better than runner-up Andale, while Scott City had a score of 361. 

Scott City’s Jackson Rumford won the regional title individually, shooting a 77. Hugoton qualified a pair of golfers for state in Ayden Harper and Storm Heger. Both tied for 15th with a score of 93.

The Class 4A State Golf meet will take place Monday & Tuesday, May 20-21, at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson.
