Felker resigns as Scott City girls basketball coach
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–After guiding the Scott City Lady Beaver basketball program over the past four years, head coach Amy Felker has resigned.
Felker started her tenure in Scott City in the 2020-21 season, guiding the Lady Beavers to a 6-16 record, with a sub-state semi-final loss to Cimarron in 2021. Following back to back 8-13 seasons, Scott City turned in an 11-11 record in the 23-24 season, falling to eventual Class 4A State Runner-up Wellilngton in the sub-state championship game. Her record over the four-year stretch was 33-53. She previously coached at Dighton for 17 years, where 241-152, putting her 21-year coaching record at 274-205. During her head coaching career, Felker has coached in several classifications, including Class 1A, Division II, Class 1A, Division I, Class 1A, Class 2A, Class 3A, and Class 4A.
Scott City loses two seniors off their 11-11 campaign this past year.
