Garden City Police searching for aggravated robbery suspect
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Garden City Police Department seeks the assistance of the community in locating an individual connected to an aggravated robbery that occurred Friday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the Greenbriar Apartments, located at 1100 block of W. Campbell Street, for an Aggravated Robbery that just occurred. Officers learned that a woman had parked in the north parking lot and exited her Honda Accord when she was approached by an unknown man and attacked. The woman attempted to fight the suspect off, but the suspect pulled a knife on her, took her vehicle, and fled the scene.
The vehicle was later located at Love’s Travel Stop, 3285 E. US Highway 50, unoccupied. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The woman was transported to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
At the time of the incident, the suspect was described as a white male in his 30’s, 5’7-5’8”, with an unknown clothing description but wearing a balaclava ski mask.
