GCCC Coaches Show, February 22
GARDEN CITY, Kan. – There’s been a lot of action this week on campus. Baseball beginning a new season at home, while basketball entered its grand finale.
The Garden City Community College Coaches Show returned to Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom on Thursday night. Baseball hosted Southeast earlier this week, while the basketball squads welcomed Coffeyville on Wednesday.
Thursday’s show started with a heavy dose of men’s basketball. Forward Thomas Tut kicked off the show discussing his journey from South Sudan to America, and some of the things he’s improved on most as a Broncbuster.
Men’s assistant coach Mike Harmon followed up Tut to discuss the team’s 11-point victory over Coffeyville. Harmon, a former NJCAA point guard, has gotten the best out of working with Garden City’s forwards this season, and dove into his path.
Baseball head coach Josh Oller’s team is in Texas this weekend to face Ranger College. Oller joined the show to discuss his team’s first four games at Williams’ Stadium on Monday and Tuesday.
Thank you to Tut and coaches Oller and Harmon, for joining this week’s show. Special thank you goes to Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for their great hospitality.
The Garden City Community College Coaches Show airs Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. on 99.9 ‘The Rock’.
