Area athletes selected for 51st Kansas Shrine Bowl
With the new year brings the announcement of the selections for the Kansas Shrine Bowl. This year, three southwest Kansas players and one coach will represent the West team in the 2024 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
Two of the area selections were along the line in Garden City’s Sebastian Lopez at defensive line, and Holcomb’s Kooper Tichenor on the offensive line. Also selected was Hugoton’s Isaac Martin, who was selected as a linebacker.
In December, Holcomb coach Trey Teeter was announced as the 3A representive as an assistant on the coaching staff.
The 51st Annual Kansas Shrine Bowl set to be played on Saturday, June 29 at Welch Stadium in Emporia, the home of Emporia State University.
