Texas man arrested on warrant in Scott City
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Scott City Police arrested a man from Texas on a Texas warrant earlier this month.
Just before 2:30 pm on December 10, Officers with the Scott City Police Department obtained information that a wanted fugitive was at a residence in Scott City. Officers arrived at the apartment building and began knocking on the door when an officer observed an individual matching the suspect’s description leaving out a side door.
Officers quickly apprehended the suspect before he could flee. Thirty-three-year-old Joshua Zapata, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was arrested on a Texas warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Zapata was transported to the Scott County Jail where he has since been extradited back to Texas to face charges.
