Dodge City man arrested in Garden City aggravated battery case
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Dodge City man was arrested Tuesday night in connection to an aggravated battery.
According to the Garden City Policd Department release, 23-year-old Wilber Pagan-Pizarro faces charges from the incident where two individuals were injured.
Around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, Officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to 604 W. Fulton Street (8 Second Smokehouse) regarding a woman being dragged by a vehicle and thrown into the road. After arriving on scene, Pagan-Pizarro was identified as the suspect and taken into custody, and emergency personnel evaluated the woman.
The investigation revealed Pagan-Pizarro began an argument in the bar that led to a fight with the bouncers. As Pagan-Pizarro was escorted from the establishment, he punched another patron. Pagan-Pizarro was then observed leaving the parking lot at a reported high rate of speed while a woman known to him attempted to enter his vehicle. Pagan-Pizarro drove westbound on Fulton Street while the woman was hanging out of the vehicle and being dragged on the ground before she fell in the road.
Both victims were later taken to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Pagan-Pizarro was lodged in the Finney County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Battery and an out-of-county warrant.
