Teenager dies after a pickup, motorcycle crash in Meade County
Meade County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A teenager from Meade died in a pickup-motorcycle crash Monday afternoon in Meade County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1998 Kawasaki KX125 driven by 15-year-old Michael M. Lowry, was northbound coming out of a field, when he was struck by a westbound 2002 Dodge Ram pickup on K Road drven by 27-year-old Dylan B. Duesing of Meade.
The accident occurred before 5:30 pm.
Lowry was taken to Meade District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet.
Duesing was uninjured and was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP Report.
