Teeter resigns as Holcomb head football coach
Holcomb, Kan. (westernkansanews.com)–After nine seasons as head coach, Kent Teeter has resigned as head coach for the Longhorn program.
Teeter helped lead Holcomb to a 72-24 record in nine seasons as head coach. During his tenure, Holcomb won two Class 4A, Division II State Championships in 2015 and 2017. In Teeter’s first four seasons, the Longhorns won 10, 11, 10 and 12 games respectively in 2014-17. Last season, Holcomb finished 7-2, and had at least seven wins in seven of his nine seasons.
Teeter amassed a 135-90 record over 24 seasons that included stops in Hays and Goodland.
As of now, he will remain with the Holcomb school district, and continue to serve as head track coach.
