Hugoton Girls Rally For Second Half Win Over Scott City
Colby, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Hugoton Lady Eagles erased a 25-20 halftime deficit, and knocked off the Scott City Lady Beavers for the second time in three weeks with a 44-37 win Friday night in the consolation semi-finals of the Paul Wintz/Tom Bowen Orange & Black Classic. Scott City wad led in scoring by Janessa Lowenthal with 14 points, while Chastity Parsons paced Hugoton with 12 points and Nicole Kinser added 11.
Scott City drops to 1-8 on the season and will face Beloit at 12 pm in the seventh place game. Hugoton improves to 9-3, and will take on Burlington, Colorado at 2 pm for fourth and sixth place.
