Harris scores 37, No. 5 Indian Hills outlasts No. 9 Dodge City 87-81
OTTUMWA–Truth Harris scored 29 of his 37 points in the second half for No. 5 Indian Hills Saturday, giving the Warriors an 87-81 victory over No. 9 Dodge City in the Conqs’ final non-conference game at the Student Activities Center.
Harris shot 9-of-13 from the floor, including 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. That kickstarted a parade of threes in the second half for Indian Hills, where the Warriors shot 10-of-20 after halftime. They shot nearly 59% overall from the field in the second half.
Dodge City got 28 points from Jason Edwards on 6-of-11 shooting from distance and 10-for-21 overall. Jacobi Sebock also posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Conqs led by as many as 13 points with 17:12 left, but soon after, the Warriors went on a 10-0 run to draw within two and took the lead for good on a three from Truth Harris.
Dodge also got double-figure efforts from Cam Malray (11) and Chris Robinson (10).
The Conquistadors fall to 11-3 with the loss.
Dodge City returns to action Wednesday when they travel to Independence. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
