Scott City girls tennis wins Ellsworth Invitational
Ellsworth, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–For the second time in three days, the Scott City Lady Beaver tennis team made the trip to Ellsworth for its second tennis meet there on Thursday. This time around, Scott City would win the tournament, as they build momentum into next week.
The Lady Beavers finished with 40 points, 13 points better than runner-up Ellsworth.
Malorie Cupp took the tournament title at No. 1 Singles, while No. 2 Singles player Haileigh Hickert also took first place. Tying for second place was the No. 2 Doubles team of Ximena Garcia/Kennedy Wasinger, and the No. 1 Doubles team of Madison Roberts/Tatum Wells took third place.
