Scott City girls tennis second at Phillipsburg

Phillipsburg, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City girls tennis team made the trip to Phillipsburg on Tuesday for the Phillipsburg Invitational. It was a competitive meet, where the Lady Beavers would finish second place in the meet.

Phillipsburg won the meet with 26 points, while Scott City was second with 19. 

Taking first place at No. 2 Doubles was the team of Ximena Garcia/Kennedy Wasinger, while Malorie Cupp and Haileigh Hickert finished second at No. 1 and No. 2 Singles respectively. The No. 1 Doubles team of Madison Roberts/Tatum Wells placed fourth, as they were locked into a three-way tie for second, but lost the tiebreaker.
