Arrest made in separate Scott City cases
Scott City, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – On Sunday at 3:04 p.m. Officers were dispatched to an address in Scott City for a possible child abuse. Officers began an investigation and ultimately on 9/12/2022 Caleb Couchman, 36, was arrested for Abuse of a Child and Battery.
Couchman was transported to the Scott County Jail and the case has been referred to the Scott County Attorney for prosecution.
Second Release
On 9/12/2022 at 7:57 p.m. Officers were sent to the 1500 block of Myrtle for a victim suffering a laceration to the neck. Officers arrived on scene and began the investigation. After an extensive search, the suspect was located at 101 N Main Street. At approximately 10:21 p.m. Officers arrested Rachel Burdick, 48, for Aggravated Battery and Interference with Law Enforcement. The Kansas Highway Patrol also assisted with the arrest.
Burdick was transported to the Scott County Jail and the case has been referred to the Scott County Attorney for prosecution.
