Eastbound U.S. 50 opens, westbound U.S. 50 closes for railroad crossing repair in Finney County
The Kansas Department of Transportation will be opening the eastbound U.S. 50 starting Monday, June 20, and closing the westbound U.S. 50 until mid-July. The closure is necessary to allow Pioneer Lines to continue a project that consists of replacing the railroad crossing and concrete pavement located 5 miles west of Garden City between North Sherlock and North Anderson.
The map below shows the approximate location of the closing and detour route. Signs will direct traffic to follow the detour on North Anderson Road, Jones Avenue, Old U.S. 50, North Big Lowe Road and Sherlock.
