Scott City tennis edges Meade at Hoisington Invitational
Great Bend, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The regular season is winding down, as eight schools made their way to Great Bend for the Hoisington Invitational on Thursday. Several of the schools competing in the meet will make their way to Scott City for regional play next Thursday and Friday. In the end, Scott City won by the slimmest of margins over Meade to claim the tournament title.
Scott City had 64 points, while Meade was right behind with 63 points and Phillipsburg took third place.
The Beavers had first place finishes from Avry Noll at No. 1 Singles, Dylan Duff at No. 2 Singles, and Dante Franco/Ayden Presson at No. 2 Doubles. The No. 1 Doubles team of Houston Frank/Sage Stoecklein finished in third place.
