Elementary School To Hold NFL Play 60 Activities Friday
GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – Jennie Wilson Elementary will hold its annual NFL Fuel Up to Play 60 Activities on Friday, April 1st, from 1:00-3:30 p.m. This is the eleventh year that the school has participated in the nationwide program.
Students will participate in a relay course, football toss, and various football drills. There will also be discussions with the students about healthy snack choices.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Football League (NFL) and the National Dairy Council (NDC), which was founded by America’s dairy farmers, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Fuel Up to Play 60 is designed to engage and empower youth to take action for their own health by implementing long-term, positive changes for themselves and their schools.
