Kansas Advances to 16th Final Four in Program History After 76-50 Win Over 10. Miami

CHICAGO – The Kansas Jayhawks advanced to their 16th Final Four appearance in program history Sunday afternoon with a 76-50 win over the Miami Hurricanes at the United Center. It’s also the Jayhawks’ fourth Final Four under Bill Self (2008, 2012, 2018, 2022), tying Roy Williams (1991, 1993, 2002 and 2003) for the most appearances by a KU coach.

 

Senior guard Ochai Agbaji scored 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting (with five rebounds and four assists) while senior forward David McCormack went for 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting (with four boards) as KU, the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament’s Midwest Regional, rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to upend No. 10 seed Miami 76-50 in an Elite Eight game Sunday at the United Center.

Kansas, the top seed in the Midwest Region, improved to 32-6 on the season. The Jayhawks will now face the 2-seeded Villanova Wildcats on Saturday for the right to advance to the Championship Game versus No. 2 Duke or No. 8 UNC. That game will tip-off at 5:09 p.m., CT on on 1030 AM / 107.1 FM KBUF.
