Firefighters respond to propane explosion in Finney County

FINNEY CO, Kan – A propane explosion on a farmstead caused a fire yesterday afternoon.
The explosion happened just after 3:00 pm Wednesday, in the area of Williams and Kathy’s Road, just west of Garden City. The explosion caused multiple outbuildings to catch fire.The crews battled the blaze for over 2 hours in the 90 degree heat.
Finney County Ems, Finney County Sheriff and Garden City Fire Department were all on scene.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
