1 arrested following burglary in southwest Kansas

HUGOTON, Kan – The Hugoton Police Department say they arrested a man following a burglary on Saturday.

According to the press release, an officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Main Street for a report of theft. The officer made contact with the suspect, who was sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot. When the suspect stepped out of the vehicle, the officer discovered evidence of the theft, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Adam Ball, 41, Garden City was arrested and transported to the Stevens County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft. An affidavit has been sent to the County Attorney for formal charges.
