U.S. 56 resurfacing to begin in Morton County

Crews are expected to begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 56 in Morton County on Monday, April 26, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The project is expected to begin at the Oklahoma State Line in Morton County and continue east to the west Rolla city limits.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during the project.
APAC Shears of Hutchinson is the contractor on this $3.1 million project, which is expected to be completed in June, weather permitting.
