Elementary School To Open Time Capsule

Gertrude Walker Elementary School will hold a time capsule opening event on Wednesday, December 9, at 1:30 p.m.  The school will broadcast the event live on their Facebook page to follow the district’s operational level protocols to keep everyone safe. 

The time capsule was interred on the school grounds in 2000.  The capsule will be opened and viewed by staff and students that are online.  The items will then be put on exhibition in the school’s display case. 

The school is looking at burying another time capsule at the school.  The school will look to inter the new time capsule during the spring semester.
