USD 457 Bookmobile Program To Take A Scheduled Break

The USD 457 Books on the Bus program, better known as B.O.B., will take a scheduled break from July 6 – 9, 2020. The program is planned to be back on its normal schedule on Monday, July 13, 2020. The last day that the bookmobile will be visiting the community will be on Thursday, July 30, 2020.
The times and locations that the bookmobile will visit the community include:
Mondays at 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. at Plymell Trailers, 800 Mimosa Rd, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. at Victor Ornelas Elementary School, 11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Florence Wilson Elementary School, and 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. at Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor Avenue.
Tuesdays at 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. at Boots Rd (WW1), 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. at Edith Scheuerman Elementary School, 11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Gertrude Walker Elementary School, and 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. at the Zoo.
Wednesdays at 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. at Mansfield Trailers, 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Towns Riverview South, and 12:15 – 1:15 p.m. at Ayala Park, 216 N. Taylor Avenue.
Thursdays at 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. at Harold Long Park, 1001 E. Spruce, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. at Jennie Wilson Elementary School, 11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Abe Hubert Elementary School, and 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. at the Zoo.
B.O.B. is a traveling bus that brings books to various locations in Garden City during the summer. The bus visits the community Mondays through Thursdays during July. The goal of B.O.B. is to increase reading skills by getting books into the hands of children.
