One Injured in Finney County Crash
FINNEY COUNTY, Kan. — One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6.8 miles north east of Garden City on Friday morning around 8:50am.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2008 Saturn Vue driven by Abdi A. Abdirahman, 39, Garden City, was westbound on K156, when it crossed the center line & collided with an eastbound 2011 Peterbilt semi driven by Fraire M. Espino, 62, Garden City, at the shoulder of the eastbound lane.
Abdirahman was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City with a suspected serious injury. Espino was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing safety restraints according to the KHP.
