1 dead following Meade County rollover
MEADE COUNTY, Kan. — One person has died following a rollover accident in Meade County late Wednesday night. The accident occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Kansas Highway 23.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Ford Explorer driven by Calvin Dean McGonigle, 56, of Ashland was south bound when his vehicle blew a tire and lost control. McGonigle’s vehicle entered the ditch and rolled before coming to rest on it’s top.
The 56-year old was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident and was taken to Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m. on Thursday morning.
