Ulysses, Kan. — Miguel Angel Carrasco, age 52, of Woodward, Oklahoma, died Friday, July 5, 2019, in Hemphill County, Texas. He was born November 29, 1966, in La Regina, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Miguel and Socorro Carrasco.
Miguel moved to the United States in 1985. He began working in the oil field industry. He was currently an operator for North Star Well Service in Woodward, Oklahoma. Miguel was passionate about horses and enjoyed horseracing. He loved spending time with his family, music, watching boxing, and baseball. Miguel was a humble man, and was always helping anyone in need.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Maria Ordonez of Woodward, Oklahoma; sons, Miguel Angel Carrasco, Jr. and Raul Roman Ordonez both of Woodward, Oklahoma; daughter, Anneth Socorro Carrasco of Ulysses, Kansas; brother, Ramon Francisco Carrasco of Liberal, Kansas; sisters, Maria Nieto and Martina Carrasco both of Liberal, Kansas, and Rosa Aragon of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Alexa Ordonez, Raquel Ordonez, Mary Jane Ordonez, and Analeah Garcia.
Miguel is preceded in death by his parents.
Vigil and rosary service will be Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 7:30 PM and funeral mass will be Friday, July 12, 2019, at 11:00 AM both at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Aneesh Parapparattu, MSFS officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
