Street closures scheduled for Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. — Starting May 28, 2019, dependent upon weather, Linn St. from 14th Ave. to Greenwood Ave. will be closed to traffic for the construction of drainage and street improvements.  The project will include the intersection of Linn St. & Bristol Ave.  The sidewalk along Linn St. will also be included in the work.  The intersection of Linn St. & Greenwood Ave. will be open to traffic.  Residents of the area will be directed to Division St.  The project is scheduled to be completed in early August.  Check the City’s Facebook or website to see if the closing of Linn St. is delayed.  As always obey all traffic control and do not move or drive around barricades.

In the near future, Soule St. from Manor Dr. to 14th Ave. will be closed to through traffic for a sanitary sewer extension at the Soule St. and 13th Ave. intersection.  This project’s start date is dependent upon weather conditions.  The City will issue another notification as soon as the actual start date has been determined.  Residents along Soule St. will still be able to access their homes from the east (Manor Dr.).  Customers of Centera Bank will need to use the drive off of 14th Ave.    Traffic will be routed from Soule St. to Manor Dr. to Comanche St. then to 14th Ave.  It is anticipated this work will take ten days.  As always obey all traffic control and do not move or drive around barricades.
