KDOT: Chip seal project to begin in Hodgeman County

HODGEMAN COUNTY, Kan. — Crews are expected to begin a chip seal project on U.S. 283 from the Hodgeman/Ford County Line north 11.5 miles to Jetmore on Tuesday, May 28.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, and be prepared to stop.
Heft and Sons of Greensburg is the contractor on this $353,000 project which is expected to be completed in June, weather permitting.
