Lueders steps down as Dodge City wrestling coach

DODGE CITY, Kan. — Dodge City High School wrestling coach Lars Lueders made an announcement on Facebook Monday morning that he has accepted the head job at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Wichita.

Lueders has been instrumental in making the Red Demon wrestling program one of the top programs in the state every year. In fact, the Red Demons finished sixth place as a team at the 2019 KSHSAA State Championship. They also had a record-breaking five individuals that placed at the state, including three state champions.

Lueders had been at the helm of the Red Demon wrestling program for the last eleven years. The search for a successor will be underway soon.

Bishop Carroll Catholic High School is located in west Wichita. The Golden Eagles finished 14th at the KSHSAA 5A State Championship.
