Ulysses second, Scott City fourth at Colby Golf Invitational
Colby, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–As the regular season winds down quickly, area teams made the trip to Colby for the Colby Invitational on Thursday. Playing on a cooler day, it would be Goodland who would take home the team title, defeating Ulysses by 13 shots. Hoxie finished in third and Scott City would take fourth.
For the area golfers, Ulysses was led by Austin Perez, who finished in third place with a round of 80, while Devin Walker placed ninth with a score of 87, and Jett Moyer placed 10th with a round of 88. Scott City saw two in the top 10, led by Shea Morris and Jackson Lewis, who each shot a round of 84 and finished in the top five.
Both Scott City and Ulysses will play in the GWAC tournament, hosted by Holcomb, on Thursday, May 9.
