GCCC Annual Student Art Exhibition Set for May 3 – 10 at the Mercer Gallery

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Mercer Gallery at Garden City Community College is pleased to conclude the 2018-2019 academic year with the annual GCCC Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition showcases the hard work and dedication of young emerging artists who will be presenting beginning through advanced artwork. The showcase also comprises work in the various approaches to art practice, including all of the mediums taught in the studio art department, including: drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and design. Works by traditional and non-traditional students, art majors, and non-majors are included, and the department celebrates their achievements with this comprehensive culminating show.  An opening reception will take place on Friday, May 3, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00p.m., surrounding the GCCC Commencement Ceremony.
