GCHS Junior Advances To National JAG Competition

Vianca Esquivel, junior at Garden City High School, took 1st place at the Jobs for America’s Graduates – Kansas (JAG-K) State Career Development Conference in Salina, Kansas on Wednesday, April 17th. She competed in the Project Based Learning (PBL) event, presenting “Start with Hello Project”.
There were over 300 JAG-K students from across the state in attendance at the conference. The PBL event was a National Qualifying event and the top three places secured a spot to the National Leadership Awards Event in Washington D.C. this upcoming December. This is an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to compete and interact with JAG-K students from 35 different states.
