MUSIC CONCERTS PLANNED FOR THE WEEK
There will be a number of music concerts scheduled during the week at Garden City Public Schools. The free concerts are open to the public.
Abe Hubert Elementary School will present a third and fourth grade music program on Tuesday, March 26th, at 6:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Abe Hubert Elementary School gym, 1205 A Street.
Garden City High School will present a choir concert on Tuesday, March 26th, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the auditorium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd.
Alta Brown Elementary School will present a first grade music program on Thursday, March 28th, at 6:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the Alta Brown Elementary School gym, 1110 East Pine Street.
JENNIE WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO HOST HEROES’ BREAKFAST
Jennie Wilson Elementary School staff and students will host its annual Heroes’ Breakfast on Thursday, March 28th. The school has invited personnel from the Garden City Fire and Police departments, Finney County Sheriff’s Department, Finney County EMS, Kansas Highway Patrol, and Life Save employees to the breakfast. The school will be expressing its gratitude for everything that they do to keep our community safe.
The school will be serving school breakfast to the first responders from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. This will provide an opportunity for the first responders to visit with the school’s students before the start of school that day.
BERNADINE SITTS TO HOST FAMILY HEALTH NIGHT
Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center will hold a Family Health Night for students and parents on Thursday, March 28th, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. There will be fun activities for the family to participate in around the school during the event.
A number of organizations from the community will be providing screenings and information about fitness and how to lead a safe healthy lifestyle for the entire family. There will also be healthy snacks provided during the evening for families.
