Two killed in Ford County crash
FORD COUNTY, Kan. — A two-vehicle crash on Saturday evening has left two people dead. The accident occurred just two miles east of Wright in Ford County shortly before 6 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers responded to a crash on U.S. 50 and 119th Road at 5:45 p.m.
According to the KHP crash log, Luis Galvan-Gomez, 21, of Dodge City and and Isabel Martiza Zamora, 21, of Dodge City were traveling eastbound on 50 when they lost control and went into the westbound lane where they struck a semi driven by Ronnie Lindsely, 68, of Illinois.
Galvan-Gomez and Zamora were both taken to Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City where they were then pronounced dead. Lindsely reportedly had no injuries. All three occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
