Hugoton woman injured in Thomas County crash
THOMAS COUNTY, Kan. — A Hugoton woman was injured following a two-vehicle car accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Thomas County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. at mile-marker 202.7 on K25.
A 2011 Ford Escape driven by Cheryl Womack, 58, of Hugoton and a 2014 Ford pick up driven by Mark Benjamin Dagely, 21, of Katy Texas were both northbound on K25. The Escape was traveling slow due to inclement road conditions. The pick up rear ended the Escape. The Escape went off the roadway to the left and the pick up went off the roadway to right.
Womack was taken to Citizens Medical Center with minor injuries. Dagely did not suffere any injuries according to the report. Both individuals were wearing their seatbelt.
