GCHS JROTC Military Appreciation Night Planned for Saturday

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — The Garden City High School JROTC will hold a Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, February 16th, at 6:00 p.m. in Clifford Hope Auditorium at Horace Good Middle School, 1412 N. Main Street. The evening will be a celebration of the nation and the people who protect it. The cadets will perform a variety of drills, speeches, poems, and the JROTC Honor Guard will fold the nation’s flag.
The free event is open to the public. There will be a silent auction from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The performances will be staged from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The mission of the JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. JROTC is a life skills class at Garden City High School that prepares young people for future endeavors.
