Two injured in crash south of Garden City on Tuesday morning
GARDEN CITY, Kan. — A two vehicle accident occurred on Tuesday morning just south of U.S. 50 on U.S. 83. The accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at mile marker 68, 1/2 mile south of U.S. 50, the Kansas Highway Patrol announced.
A vehicle driven by Felipe Rodriguez, 21, of Garden City was traveling northbound on U.S. 83 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a 2016 Ford truck that was driven by Chamreoun Pich Chhor, 59, of Bellflower, California.
Rodriguez was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital with minor injuries. He also had two other passengers in his vehicle, Emilio Rosales, 7, of Garden City and Jesus Rodriguez, 13, of Garden City were both taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital. Both of those two were wearing their seat belt, as was the driver.
Chhor was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital with serious injuries. She was wearing her seat belt.
