Kansas Highway Patrol inducts 58th class
SALINA, Kan. — The Kansas Highway Patrol graduated 24 individuals on Thursday afternoon from the Highway Patrol Training Academy in Salina. This was the 58th class to graduate from the academy.
The individuals took part in a 23-week intensive academy that involved crash investigation techniques, how to test and spot impaired drivers, received weapons training and the study of the Kansas laws.
The troopers will now move to the counties they are assigned to begin work with their Field Training Officers.
The group also graduated four females, which is the largest in a KHP graduation class in the 58 years.
Western Kansas will be getting three new Troopers
Ford County – Trooper Adam Flowers
Finney County – Trooper Trey Winters
Thomas County – Trooper Kenton Ubelaker
