GCHS Cheerleaders to perform in New Year’s Day Parade
GARDEN CITY, KAN — Garden City High School cheerleaders Grace Reagle and Taylor Newsome will be performing at the world famous London New Year’s Day Parade on Jan. 1. Reagle and Taylor will be performing with over 800 other high school cheerleaders from across the U.S. that will be representing Varsity Spirit.
Reagle and Taylor are both juniors at Garden City High School and have been invited to perform in London based off of their performances the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) summer camps across the country. All-Americans are then chosen based on superior athletic and leadership skills and only the top 12% who attend camp earn the chance to perform in the parade.
The parade is known as the “World’s Greatest Street Spectacular!” according to their website. The spectacular will take place on New Years Day at 12-Noon in London, which is 6 a.m. central time.
