Storms cause flash flooding in Scott City

Scott City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Multiple storms dropped up to eight inches of rain in and around Scott City Tuesday night leading to flash flooding. A few motorists in town were stranded and forced to leave their car. The roads are in better condition as of Wednesday morning.

Scott County Emergency Management Director Tim Stoecklein also reported golf ball to tea cup sized hail west of Scott City. A calf barn was blown over due to straight line winds and a semi was knocked over North of town on 183. There were also damages to crops in the area.
