GC man arrested after fight
On May 30, 2018, at about 10:00 p.m. Officers of the Garden City Police Department responded to 519 W Mary St. (Taqueria El Compa) for a reported fight in progress in the parking lot between two males. As Officers were responding, Communications advised one of the males had possibly struck the other male with a car and fled the scene.
When Officers arrived on the scene, they were able to identify the parties involved as Braden Spillman (20) 2701 Rowland Rd and Melchor Dominguez (20) 1208 N 11th St.
Further investigation revealed Dominguez began fighting Spillman and during the fight, Spillman lost consciousness. Evidence obtained from security cameras showed Dominguez driving his vehicle at Spillman almost pinning him between another vehicle, reversing away causing Spillman to be thrown to the ground and driving at him striking him. Spillman received minor injuries.
Dominguez was located on May 31, 2018, and arrested without incident. He could face the possible charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, and Battery.
